About
An independent directory, and proud to say so
Tri-State Fire Guide helps businesses in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut find fire-protection service providers. We are an independent commercial directory: not a fire department, not a government agency, not a service contractor, and not affiliated with the FDNY or any company listed here. We do not inspect, certify, or clean anything — the businesses listed provide services; we make the introduction and keep the records honest.
How listings work
Every profile separates three kinds of information:
- Official record. Credential facts — category, list number, expiration dates — copied exactly from the named official source, with the date we checked it and a link back to the source. “As published” means the source printed it that way.
- Provider-confirmed. Service areas, scheduling, languages, new-customer status — only shown once the company confirms them, and labeled with the confirmation date. Where nothing is confirmed, we say so instead of inventing it.
- Paid placement. Enhanced profiles and request eligibility, always labeled as advertising. Payment never changes the official record. Basic listings and corrections are free.
We do not award “verified and trusted” badges. Appearing in an official record on a given date is a fact worth having; it is not a guarantee of anyone’s work, and we will not dress it up as one.
Why the name looks familiar
Several fire-protection businesses operate in this region with “Tri-State” in their names — including Tri-State Fire Protection, Inc. (tristatefire.com). We are not connected to any of them. We are a directory that happens to cover the tri-state region; adding “Guide” is us being clear about that, not legal cleverness.
Review status, stated plainly
Our question sets and guides are written to be checked by a qualified fire-protection industry professional, and that review is in progress, not yet complete. Until it finishes, treat the guides as carefully sourced but not yet independently reviewed. If you are that professional, we would like to hear from you.
What this site is not
- Not an emergency service. If there is a fire or immediate danger, call 911.
- Not a compliance authority. Nothing here is fire-code advice; your AHJ, your insurance carrier, and your provider govern.
- Not an undisclosed lead network. Requests go only to the companies you pick, and the request says so.
